المؤتمر الرابع للتربية والأبوة والأمومة يناقش دور الأسرة في تنشئة الأطفال وتحديات التربية الحديثة مثل الصحة النفسية والتكنولوجيا، ويستهدف الآباء والأمهات والمعلمين و كذلك المقبلين علي الزواج لدعمهم بأدوات تساعدهم على تربية جيل واعٍ وقادر على مواجهة المستقبل.

The 4th Parenting Conference discusses modern parenting challenges such as mental health, technology, and the role of the family in raising children. It targets parents, educators, and couples preparing for marriage, aiming to equip them with tools to raise a conscious generation capable of facing the future. 

“Parenting practices around the world share three major goals: ensuring children’s health and safety, preparing children for life as productive adults, and transmitting cultural values.” – American Psychological Association.

And that’s why parenting is important! 

Egypt’s population between the ages of 0-14 is around 36 million – 33% of the total population. Raise them properly and you will have a generation of adults capable of leading and building the future of our families, society and country in general. Raise them properly and they will, in turn, raise the generations to follow. Hence, ensuring the continuity & sustainability of our beloved Egypt.

?But parenting has become more & more challenging in recent times. Why

·       Rapidly changing and demanding world => Unclear priorities of parents.

·       Changing/worsening father & mother relationship => Deteriorating family dynamics.

·       Materialistic needs overtaking the importance of parent-child relationship.

·       Traditional cultural beliefs limiting the responsibility of parenting to the mother.

·       Technology & digital media invading our homes => Negative impact on our children’s values.

·       Abundance of information => Making hard to decide on how to parent.

“Was parenting easier for previous generations? Sure it was harder to ensure physical health before adequate nutrition and vaccines and antibiotics were available. But today’s parents are more aware of the importance of providing emotional and relational health to their children – and there is no shot to administer to accomplish the task! So you aren’t mistaken if you think it’s incredibly difficult to be a “good parent” these days!” - The Center for Parenting Education. 

Our conference is about shedding the light on topics that are essential to parents which will ignite their passion of parenting. So, it becomes not only one of their responsibilities, but their main duty.

وهذا أيضاً يؤكد علي أهمية التربية!

لكن الأبوة والأمومة أصبحت أكثر صعوبة في الآونة الأخيرة. لماذا؟

•                العالم أصبح سريع التغير ومتطلباته في ازدياد = > أولويات غير واضحة للآباء.

•                تغيير/تدهور العلاقة بين الأب والأم = > تدهور ديناميكيات الأسرة واحساس أطفالنا بالأمان.

•                احتياجات مادية تحوز علي أهمية أكبر من العلاقة بين الوالدين والطفل.

•                المعتقدات الثقافية التقليدية التي تقصر مسؤولية التربية على الأم.

•                التكنولوجيا والوسائط الرقمية تغزو منازلنا = > تأثير سلبي على قيم أطفالنا.

•                وفرة المعلومات = > جعل من الصعب اتخاذ قرار بشأن كيفية التربية.

"هل كانت التربية أسهل للأجيال السابقة؟ من المؤكد أنه كان من الصعب ضمان الصحة البدنية قبل توفر التغذية واللقاحات والمضادات الحيوية الكافية. لكن آباء اليوم أكثر وعيًا بأهمية توفير الصحة العاطفية والنفسية والاجتماعية لأطفالهم - وليس هناك لقاح أو جرعة دواء ينجز المهمة! لذلك لست مخطئًا إذا كنت تعتقد أنه من الصعب للغاية أن تكون "والدًا جيدًا" هذه الأيام! مؤتمرنا سيلقي الضوء على الموضوعات والقضايا المهمة في التربية في عصرنا هذا. وهذا سيشعل شغف الأباء والأمهات. فتتحول التربية من واحدة من مسؤولياتهم الي واجبهم الرئيسي.
